There exist tens of eyewitness reports concerning a bright fireball spotted by many along the coast of the NorthEastern states at 9:08 PM Eastern Daylight Time (2018 September 14 1:08 UTC). Analysis of these accounts indicates that the meteor was first seen at an altitude of 56 miles above Cutler, Maine, moving southeast at 47,000 miles per hour. It ablated 44 miles above the town of Clyde River, Nova Scotia. No meteorites are expected to have been produced by this event - too small, too high, and a bit too fast.
