In the late afternoon on February 10, 2020 (6:10 PM Eastern Standard Time, or 2020 February 10 23:10 UTC), a fireball was seen by witnesses in the United States and Canada located in the Great Lakes region. An analysis of their reports indicate that the meteor first became visible at an altitude of 69 miles over the Canadian town of Minden, moving WSW at 69,000 miles per hour. It ablated some 46 miles above Port Severn on the shore of Georgian Bay, after traversing 53 miles through the atmosphere.
