Numerous eyewitnesses in northern California and Oregon reported seeing a bright fireball on April 28th, 2020 at approximately 8:50 PM Pacific Daylight Time (2020 April 29 3:50 UTC). An analysis of their accounts indicates that the meteor first appeared some 57 miles over the mountains north of the U.S. Forest Service airfield at Toketee. The object proceeded slightly north of west at 78,000 miles per hour, finally ablating 43 miles above Siltcoos Lake Seaplane Base.
