Many eyewitnesses in the states of Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania are filing reports with the American Meteor Society of a daylight fireball seen the afternoon of November 13th, 2021 at approximately 4:32 PM Eastern Standard Time (2021 November 13 21:32 UTC). It is difficult to get a precise trajectory without video data, but an analysis of the sightings shows that the meteor's direction of motion is consistent with it being a member of the currently active north Taurid meteor shower. At the time of first appearance, the fireball was out over the Atlantic, roughly 50 miles from Stafford Township at an altitude of 60 miles. The fragment of Comet Encke moved to the southwest at 65,000 miles per hour, traveling 90 miles before disintegrating 42 miles above the ocean, just off Sea Isle City Beach.
