Numerous eyewitnesses in the states of Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana have filed reports on the American Meteor Societys website concerning a fireball seen at 6:29 AM Central Standard Time on Tuesday, November 28. An analysis of their accounts indicates that the meteor was first spotted at an altitude of 56 miles above Durant, Iowa, moving to the southeast at 63,500 miles per hour. It disintegrated 38 miles above Knoxville, Illinois after travelling 66 miles through the upper atmosphere.
